DOMINION CAMPAIGN

Aquilinium rises majestically on the western edge of the Empire, a beacon of engineering and power. Built on a series of terraces overlooking a winding river, the city is dominated by its massive Gladiatorial arena, where the cheers of citizens fill the air during contests of strength and spectacle. The Forge district, a hub of innovation, glows with the heat of smelting iron and gold, its blacksmiths crafting tools, weapons, and fine ornaments revered across the Empire.

The legionnaires barracks, an imposing structure near the city gates, houses Aquilinium’s elite soldiers, ever vigilant for threats to the Empire. These disciplined warriors firstly patrol the streets alongside officious bureaucrats, who ensure the city's laws and trade routes remain unbroken and secondly they battle almost nightly with the Cultists of Termu and their tortuous intentions as well as the army of cutthroats the cultists keep in their thrall. They also have to hunt down and deal with the odd highway robber gangs who think they can make the roads to Aquilinium their home.

At night, infamous dens of iniquity come alive with whispered deals, shady indulgences and shadowy figures. On the outskirts, fields of abundant crops stretch toward the horizon, sustaining the city’s thriving populace.

The city also boasts temples dedicated to ascetic virtues, where some of the Empire’s most devout citizens retreat to purify their souls and escape Aquilinium’s indulgences.

Aquilinium thrives as a testament to human ingenuity, balancing the might of its legions, the beauty of its architecture, and the complexity of its culture. It is a city where fortunes are forged, reputations are tested, and the destiny of the Empire is decided.
