Zekinstein is a bustling border burgh sitting at the crossroads between the King’s realm and the mysterious lands of Onakis. Known for its diverse market and lively atmosphere, Zekinstein is a well travelled point of trade, cultural exchange, and occasional strife. The large border village thrives on goods from both sides of the border, with its craftsmen, butchers, and stonemasons busily working to supply the needs of the region. The town square hosts traders from distant places, offering wares ranging from exotic textiles to potent elixirs brewed in cauldrons.

The Herald’s Post at the center of Zekinstein is where proclamations, treaties, and the latest gossip are shared. However, not all news is welcome, as the desert witch’s council has been accused of curses and hexes traded in secret in the burgh's shadowy alleys. Soothsayers offer fortunes and warnings to travelers brave enough to hear them for a price.

The stables near the burgh gates are always full, catering to merchants and emissaries preparing for journeys through Onakis, a journey that begins through the Gamii Desert which is luckily pocketed with Oases to ease a traveler's burdens. The burgh is surrounded by golden fields and protected by the sturdy border wall, reflecting the uneasy alliance with Onakis.
