Steinschloss is a fractured yet majestic city, its skyline dominated by towering castles perched like eagles over their respective districts. Each castle serves as both fortress and ruler’s seat, their lords engaging in endless rivalries that often erupt into open conflict. When disputes arise, catapults thunder, sending volleys of stone arcing over the city. Despite this, life thrives in the districts below, where cobblestone streets are alive with commerce, faith, and the bleating of sheep driven by the revered shepherds.

At the center of the city lies the Tomb of Balinor the Brave, a colossal crypt set within the sprawling People's Cemetery. The cemetery is a haunting yet sacred ground, where restless spirits linger and strange creatures emerge under the veil of night. The Exorcists Guild make its home here, guarding the tomb and conducting sacred rites to keep dark forces at bay.

Temples rise throughout the city, each dedicated to a different god or pantheon, their spires reaching to the heavens. Priests and worshippers flock to these places of devotion, seeking blessings or boons to navigate the city's treacherous politics. The citizenry, while living under the shadow of the castles, find unity in their shepherds, whose flocks form the backbone of the city’s economy and diet. Steinschloss may be divided by power, but its people are bound by faith, tradition, and a shared resilience forged through centuries of internal strife.
