Wettleford is a rugged mountain town nestled deep in an upper valley of the Greyspire Peaks. Their experiments often result in both groundbreaking discoveries and minor calamities that locals have learned to live with (or profit from). Surrounding the university are quaint vineyards clinging to the rocky slopes, producing bold wines that pair with the region’s harsh winters.

The town’s pride, however, is its Snow Cavalry training grounds, where seasoned riders and their shaggy mountain steeds undergo rigorous drills. These hardy cavalry units, bred for frigid conditions, are a vital part of the king’s forces.

The outskirts of Wettleford are dotted with humble hunting lodges, serving as outposts for trappers and gatherers who brave the icy wilderness. Blacksmiths and potters labor tirelessly at the local kilns, crafting everything from sturdy tools to fine ceramic wares. Meanwhile, the eerie Coven of the Frosted Shadows, a reclusive group of witches, holds secretive gatherings in the nearby glades, promising curses or blessings depending on who seeks their aid.

Despite its magical and military importance, Wettleford is not without its charm. Wayfarers traveling the snowy mountain paths often stop at its inns, swapping tales of their journeys and admiring the tireless livery workers raising horses fit for kings.
