Farfield lies at the crossroads of commerce and danger, a bustling town surrounded by fertile fields, thick forests, and winding trade routes. Its streets are lively, with townsfolk going about their day, mingling with merchants and travelers passing through on their way to distant markets. The town is ruled by the charismatic Marquis Carlin, whose shrewd diplomacy has made Farfield a hub for both trade and intrigue.

The Merchant Camps that ring the town are filled with traders, hawkers, and craftsmen displaying their wares to those arriving by road or aboard the royal galleys that dock at the town’s modest river port. Inside the town, innkeepers welcome weary travelers, while couriers dart between alleys delivering messages and parcels.

However, Farfield is not without its perils. The nearby forest, while rich in game for the town’s hunters, also harbors highwaymen who prey on the unsuspecting. These bandits are a constant menace, forcing the Marquis to maintain a small but vigilant force of guards. There is also rivalry with Boergenstadt, a city state independent from the King's rule only three days journey away. The Marquis maintains a loose alliance with Boergenstadt but that doesn't stop trading opportunities being stolen by the mercantile city.

The people of Farfield are generally healthy and happy, relying on ingenuity and cooperation. Craftsmen are always at work, mending tools, forging weapons, and modifying and improving the town’s defenses and buildings.

Farfield is a town of contrasts, where prosperity walks hand in hand with risk, and the decisions of its leaders and citizens shape its destiny. Here, every choice has weight, every action a ripple in the fabric of its vibrant, dynamic life.
