Wormtooth is a ragged burgh perched on the edge of a sprawling wasteland of abandoned mines and ruins. The people here are survivors, scavengers, and traders who’ve learned to make the best of a bad hand. It is said that Wormtooth is the place to go when you have nowhere else to go. It earned its name from the "tooth" of an ancient and massive waterworm fossil jutting from the ground on the shore - a macabre landmark that the locals revere as a symbol of resilience.

The settlement has become a haven for the broken and dispossessed with numerous poor houses run by the kind and generous People's Shamans. It is a place where the desperate scrape together meager resources. Rats roam freely here - not just as pests, but as a source of food and even companionship for the struggling burghfolk. These creatures are cleverly trained by some of the more enterprising residents to deliver small goods through the labyrinth of ruins or to search out scraps and supplies hidden in the rubble.

Life in Wormtooth isn’t without its adventurers. Its small and decrepit dock is a favoured meeting place for first mates doing shady deals on behalf of their captains. Sailors who cross those captains often find themselves marooned here too.

Wormtooth is a place of grit and improvisation, where survival is celebrated as a victory. Its people survive not because they’ve conquered their hardships, but because they’ve learned to live with them, making friends out of rats and hope out of scraps.
