Dhelios is a thriving merchant burgh nestled at the edge of the Everwalk Woods, a sprawling, shadowy forest that has claimed its fair share of unwary travelers. Lady Venn and her esteemed family oversee the town, earning the respect of its citizens and the admiration of merchants who thrive under her fair and shrewd governance. The merchant guild is responsible for much of the day to day administration of Dhelios, organizing trade routes and consulting with Lady Venn on matters of commerce and development.

Access to the burgh is not without its challenges. The Everwalk Woods, the only route in or out of Dhelios, is a labyrinth of ancient trees and winding paths. Caravans rarely venture through without the aid of seasoned guides who know the hidden markers and the whispers of the forest. Legends of witches and cursed travelers abound.

Rats are a persistent problem in Dhelios, gnawing at its prosperity. The town employs an entire brigade of ratcatchers who are almost as iconic as its merchants. Some whisper that the witches of the woods have unleashed these vermin as vengeance, but Lady Venn’s pragmatism keeps her from entertaining such wild claims.

The "Queen of Tan," the town's large heritage tavern, is the heart of Dhelios, where travelers, guides, and locals mingle over hearty meals and strong ale. Its constant activity embodies the spirit of the burgh - a place of work, trade, and community.

The burgh's economy depends heavily on the swift Orfen River, which carries its carefully felled lumber downstream to larger settlements for processing and trade. The steady flow of timber ensures Dhelios's place as a key node in the region's economic network, though its isolation remains both a blessing and a curse.
