Fivepoint is an unusual island port town spread across five islands of varying sizes, all interconnected by ferries that dart back and forth across the shimmering waters of the archipelago. This settlement serves as the Kingdom’s primary launch point for daring expeditions to distant lands to the south, and its docks and shipyards are alive with the hum of industry and adventure.

At the heart of the town’s success is its renowned Artificers Guild, who specialize in crafting enchanted components for the shipbuilding industry. Whether it’s hulls reinforced with magic to withstand raging storms, masts that seem to catch the faintest breeze, or enchanted compasses that always point true, the work of these artificers ensures that the ships departing Fivepoint are second to none. Their workshops are scattered across the islands, their forges glowing late into the night as they craft the tools that will guide explorers to untold treasures.

The various docks are a hive of activity. Ships of all sizes and shapes dock here, their crews unloading goods and taking on supplies for their next voyage. The markets are filled with well paid ratcatchers who spend their days hunting down hordes of rats and their nests while merchants barter for rare treasure troves brought back from far-off shores. Adventurers, from grizzled veterans to eager young fortune hunters, can be found hiring passage or forming crews for the next expedition.

The smaller islands each play a unique role in the town's ecosystem. One is home to the Mapmaker’s Guild, where skilled cartographers painstakingly chart new territories and sell their invaluable maps to explorers. Another serves as a shipyard, its shores lined with new vessels and those needing repairs, its shipwrights hard at work every day. A third is a retreat for artisans who craft intricate figurines and keepsakes, small treasures that tell stories of the vast seas and the mysteries they hold. The fourth is filled with inns and taverns meeting the needs of the sailors and the townsfolk needing some rest and recreation.

Fivepoint's economy thrives on its connection to adventure and the sea, but its success is not without risk. The constant search for riches and glory has created a culture of fierce competition, and some expeditions return empty-handed - or not at all. Still, the allure of untold wealth and distant horizons keeps the ferries and ships moving, the artificers crafting, and the sailors setting sail.
