Hallowmere is a cursed town where life and death blur together in unsettling ways with most of the town fallen to plague. Surrounded by misty moors and crumbling cemeteries, the town sits under the constant shadow of its grim history. At its center lies the infamous Necropolis, a gathering place for necromancers who delve into forbidden arts, raising the dead and performing twisted rituals. Skeletons of old battles lie scattered in nearby fields, occasionally reanimated by those who practice these dark arts.

The townsfolk are an uneasy mix of the resigned and the desperate. While the market square still hums with quiet trade, much of the barter revolves around grave goods, relics scavenged from the cemeteries, and services offered by foragers who venture into the cursed woods. The squires maintain a semblance of order, though their allegiance often shifts toward those who wield power—whether it’s the armory’s enforcers or the shadowy necromancers. Skulking figures move in the shadows, spreading hexes and unsettling the already fragile peace. Occasionally, the tormentors - grim enforcers of the necromancers - emerges to remind the town who truly holds sway.

Hallowmere is a place of constant unease, where grave robbers scavenge for riches, curses linger in the air, and every choice feels like a gamble with doom. Despite it all, the townsfolk persist, clutching at whatever light remains in the face of encroaching darkness.
