Thornwick is a lively rural town nestled along the confluence of two gently flowing rivers, surrounded by dense forests and fertile farmland. It has grown modestly due to its strategic location as a waypoint for travelers and traders heading toward distant lands and as a center for local regional trade. The town's architecture reflects a balance of practicality and charm, with timber-framed houses and winding streets connecting small plazas and bustling marketplaces. Numerous canals criss cross the sitting bringing cooler air and aesthetic routes for transport.

The Garlenn Forum, is where the more affluent citizens sip tea and discuss politics beside expertly carved pillars. Underlings, laborers and messengers for the town’s guilds, work tirelessly to maintain their prosperity and quickly their news and requests across the town sometimes having to go from path to boat to path to boat across the canals.

A short walk from the town center, the river docks teem with fishing boats and their netting work and cargo ships loading and unloading their crates and barrels. Beyond the rivers, well-trodden paths lead to the animal fairs, where farmers gather to trade livestock in a lively and colorful atmosphere.

An ancient and crumbling network of sewers beneath the town are said to hide strange creatures and whispers of treasure. At night, rumors of werewolves emerging from their sewer lairs have kept even the boldest townsfolk close to their hearths. For the superstitious, the peaceful Cult of Amarah that meets in the outskirts offers blessings to ward off danger.

Thornwick thrives as a blend of rural charm, bustling trade, and a hint of the unknown, where ambition and tradition walk hand in hand.
