DOMINION CAMPAIGN

Gloomspire Keep is a crumbling fortress shrouded in perpetual twilight, perched on the edge of a haunted grove. The keep is home to Count Aldrin and his enigmatic wife, Lady Seryna, a vampire of ancient power and forbidden allure. Their love is as eternal as it is tragic, a bond forged in shadow and sustained by secrets. The fortress itself bears the scars of centuries, its crumbling battlements home to flocks of screeching bats and it catacombs home to hordes of rats that scurry through the ruins, spreading whispers of doom.

The sacred grove built a century ago binds the two lovers and their minions to the area and emanates an otherworldly energy, granting boons to those bold (or desperate) enough to seek its favor. It is also the sacred ground of the Trackers - a group of dedicated hunters making sure no creatures of the night make it to other settlements and spread the misery. Hermits and wanderers linger on the outskirts, trading tales of the Count and his dark mistress for a crust of bread or a sip of wine. By night, the grove transforms into a realm of eerie beauty, the moonlight casting an ethereal glow on its gnarled and blessed trees.

The Count, once a noble protector of these lands, has become a shadow of his former self, forever bound to Lady Seryna's immortal hunger. Though his heart yearns for the living, his soul is tethered to the cursed depths of Gloomspire. Lady Seryna, for her part, rules with an iron grace, her vampiric powers ensuring that none dare challenge their reign.

In the dead of night the devil’s workshops come alive within the ruins, a hive of occult activity where changelings and other creatures of the night gather to bargain for power. The keep’s inhabitants - whether man, rat, or bat - exist in an uneasy balance of dread and devotion, forever entwined in the dark tale of Gloomspire Keep.
