Delimarr sits proudly along the rapid waters of the Drense River, its sprawling wealth showcased in the grand spires of the Iron Bank. The city is ruled by a powerful council of Marquises, whose vast fortunes are tied directly to the success of the bank. Their influence stretches far beyond Delimarr's walls, often dictating trade and politics across the realm. Though rumors persist that their combined wealth rivals even that of the king, the Marquises are quick to laugh off such suggestions, preferring to operate quietly in the shadows of power.

Delimarr's port is unique. The Drense River is swift and treacherous, allowing vessels to travel only one way - out to sea. Ships are crafted with precision in the city's shipyards and launched downstream toward the eastern seas. Many never return, their fate sealed by storms, pirates, or the dangers of unknown lands. Those that do bring their treasures do so by land as ships cannot go up the Drense, instead docking dozens of miles to the west and reentering Delimarr through caravans brimming with exotic wares and plundered gold.

The city's wealth is not without its price. Within its marble walls lies a seedy underbelly of sycophants and schemers, desperate to curry favor with the elite council. Toadying is practically a profession in Delimarr, and whispers of blackmail, betrayal, and secret deals echo in the halls of power. Despite the intrigue, Delimarr remains a magnet for ambitious merchants and adventurers alike. If fortune is what you seek, there’s no place like Delimarr to make - or break - it.
