Once a proud bulwark of the kingdom, Felling Fortress now stands battered and scarred, its towering stone walls barely holding against the ravages of war. The burgh surrounding it is in disarray with many homes lying abandoned, and fields once rich with crops choked with weeds. The population has been decimated; those who remain are hardened survivors fighting to reclaim a semblance of normalcy. Misfits and cultists prowl the ruins, scavenging for scraps or spreading their twisted ideologies, while food shortages gnaw at the resolve of even the bravest souls.

The recent arrival of the kingdom’s knights has brought a glimmer of hope. Though the attackers have retreated for now, the fortress and village are in shambles, and the knights face the daunting task of restoring order. The market square, once lively with trade, now sees desperate bartering for dwindling supplies. Beneath the village, catacombs weave a maze of mystery and danger, hiding secrets of a time before the war.

Despite the grim conditions, a renewed spirit flickers among the burghfolk. They cling to the knights’ presence as a sign that Felling might rise again, a beacon on the edge of a kingdom desperate to hold the line against chaos.
