Yellwater lies spread along the Sandnose River, perched on the edge of civilization, where the vast expanse of the sea meets the craggy Debren Mountains. The town owes its existence to the silver veins embedded deep within the mountains, a treasure that fuels its economy and defines its purpose. Each morning, long lines of laborers ascend the winding paths to the snowy mining village perched above, some returning to Yellwater by nightfall while others brave the cold to stay closer to their work.

Alongside silver, Yellwater is renowned for its fine clay, pulled from the riverbanks and transformed into exquisite wares by skilled claymasters at their roaring kilns. Their craftsmanship is a point of pride for the town, adding an artisanal flair to what might otherwise be a gritty mining settlement.

Yellwater’s deep calmwater port is its beating heart, with extensive docks accommodating cargo ships that carry silver to distant lands and bring much needed supplies into town. Barges laden with supplies move steadily along the Sandnose River, ferrying goods to and from the settlement. Meanwhile, gondolas lazily tour the river showing travelling merchants and visiting nobles the true beauty of the settlement. Rowboats regularly visit the rocky islands scattered across the bay, where ancient shrines bring pilgrims and worshippers from afar.

The town also serves as a launching point for explorers seeking the unknown. Crews set out from Yellwater’s docks, chasing rumors of uncharted lands and riches beyond the horizon. There is enough exploration for a decent sized Mapmaker's Guild in the town and their cartography skills are much sought after. Yellwater's air is always alive with the scent of salt, the ring of hammers, and the chatter of hopeful adventurers.

Yellwater thrives on its delicate balance between industry and exploration, offering a home to miners, sailors, merchants, and dreamers alike. Its silver and clay flow outward and the spirit of its inhabitants remains firmly anchored to its rocky shores.
