Altavallum clings to the side of a mighty mountain, its winding streets ascending from a small port at the base to the grand temples and academies perched high above. The port is a lifeline for the city, where cargo ships bring supplies and where treasure seekers launch expeditions to distant lands. Above, the city weaves through vast tracts of forest, where nobles and commoners alike participate in grand wild hunts, both sport and ritual entwined.

The city's faith is unwavering, centered on the worship of Troja, the god of war. Priests clad in crimson robes perform sacred sacrifices on the Battlefield of Reverence, an ancient site strewn with the relics of a forgotten war. The eerie remnants of armor and weapons are both offerings to the divine and tools for teaching the young about Altavallum’s martial heritage. Religious processions frequently climb the mountain paths, their chants resonating through the valleys below.

Altavallum is also a city of creation. The School of Experimentation is both admired and feared, where alchemists and scholars push the boundaries of science and art. Sculptors are equally celebrated, carving breathtaking works of marble that adorn temples, squares, and homes alike. These artists often attribute their inspiration to Troja, claiming divine visions guide their hands.

From its serene mountain views to its rugged and often steep roads and stair, Altavallum is a city of contrasts: a place where devotion and discovery coexist, where the past whispers through ancient bones, and where the future is shaped by marble and flame.
